About Us: Gam-Med Urgent Care and Gam-Med Weight Loss Clinic are dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services to our community in Rocky Mount, NC. We are looking for a friendly and organized Bilingual Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our team and help us deliver exceptional patient care.
Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is fluent in both Spanish and English to serve as a receptionist. This role involves managing front desk operations, assisting with patient care, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:
• Greet and check-in patients in a courteous and professional manner
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar
• Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries in both Spanish and English
• Verify patient insurance information and process payments
• Assist with medical record keeping and data entry
• Support healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and well-stocked
• Assist with patient education and provide information on clinic services
• Handle patient paperwork and ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
• Fluent in Spanish and English (both spoken and written)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
• Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
